The U.S. State Department has advised American citizens to immediately depart from over a dozen countries in the Middle East, citing ongoing regional instability.
The advisory follows heightened tensions and recent military actions in the region.
Countries included in the State Department's warning encompass Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, the West Bank, Gaza, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, the United Arab Emirates, and Yemen, according to Maura Namdar, Assistant Secretary of State for Consular Affairs.
The State Department's call for departure underscores growing concerns about the safety and security of American citizens in the region.
