Oil prices climbed sharply on Tuesday as concerns mounted over the economic fallout from ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Brent crude futures rose 4.41% to $81.17 a barrel by 08:00 GMT. West Texas Intermediate crude futures also increased, gaining 3.99% to $74.07 per barrel.

The price surge followed reports that several drones targeted fuel tanks at the Duqm commercial port, according to Oman's state news agency. One of the drones reportedly struck a tank, but authorities stated that the resulting damage was contained, and no casualties were reported.
