Jordan's national basketball team has finalized its 12-man roster for its crucial FIBA World Cup 2027 Asian Qualifiers match against Iran, set to take place at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Beirut, Lebanon.
The team, led by coach Roy Rana, is aiming to continue its strong start in the qualifiers.
The finalized roster includes Ahmad Al-Dwairi, Ahmad Hamarsheh, Mohammad Shaher, Hashem Abbas, Fadi Mustafa, Yazn Al-Taweel, Abdullah Olahjuan, Yousef Abu Wazaneh, Malek Kanaan, Yousef Al-Dwaik, Akef Al-Shiyab, and naturalized player Jalen Harris.
The Jordanian squad is also scheduled to face Iraq in Beirut on Monday, concluding their second window of qualifiers.
Jordan opened its Asian Qualifiers campaign with two victories against Syria, 74-59 and 100-48, positioning them at the top of Group C with four points. Iran holds the same number of points, but Jordan leads by virtue of a superior basket difference. Iraq and Syria occupy the third and fourth positions, respectively.
The delegation is headed by board member Saliba Al-Amsh and includes coach Makoto Mamiya, assistant coaches Nayef Asfour and Fadi Yaghmour, video coordinator Raed Ghosheh, development officer Marwan Matouq, fitness coach Ahmed Samir, therapist Anas Jarajreh, team manager Mohammad Al-Dabbas, administrator Abd al-Hadi Salama, media coordinator Khaled Al-Omairi, and photographer Mousa Al-Awadi.
