The Jordanian Football Association (JFA) has announced the postponement of the highly anticipated match between Al-Sarhan and Al-Hussein in the Jordanian Pro League. The decision, revealed on Thursday, is due to Al-Hussein's participation in the AFC Champions League 2. A new date for the match will be determined and announced later.
Al-Hussein continues to dominate the Jordanian Pro League, maintaining their lead after a decisive 5-2 victory over Al-Baqa'a. The match, held on Thursday as part of the Week 17 competition, further solidified their position at the top of the league standings for the 2025/2026 season.
During the match against Al-Baqa'a, Al-Hussein's Aref Al-Hajj delivered an impressive performance, scoring four goals in the 18th, 47th, 49th, and 88th minutes. Saad Al-Rosan added another goal in the 34th minute. Alion Mbaye (12') and Khaled Sayahin (68') scored for Al-Baqa'a.
In other league action, Shabab Al-Ordon secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Al-Ahli, with Jordi Duran scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute.
Similarly, Al-Jazeera defeated Al-Ramtha with a 1-0 score, thanks to a goal by Saif Al-Taher in the 90+1 minute.
Al-Faisaly recorded a dominant 4-0 win against Al-Sarhan. Goals were scored by Muhannad Khairallah in the 27th minute, Mohammed Ibrahim Qassem in the 43rd minute, an own goal by Yazan Al-Gharabla in the 47th minute, and Harry Aaron in the 77th minute.
Al-Wehdat edged out Al-Salt with a 2-1 victory. Kalu Onemachi scored the opening goal for Al-Salt in the 78th minute. However, Al-Wehdat responded with an own goal by Olodari Alufonwa in the 90th minute and a goal by Anas Al-Awadat in the 90+6 minute.
At the conclusion of Week 17, Al-Hussein leads the league standings with 37 points, followed closely by Al-Faisaly with 36 points. Al-Ramtha holds the third position with 34 points, while Al-Wehdat is fourth with 33 points. Al-Jazeera has 21 points, Al-Salt 19, Al-Baqa'a 18, Shabab Al-Ordon 17, Al-Ahli 11, and Al-Sarhan trails at the bottom with 5 points.
