NA'OUR, Jordan - An Egyptian national was killed in an accidental shooting in Na'our, south of Amman, Jordanian authorities reported on Monday.
According to a spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate, the incident occurred at the victim's workplace. Initial reports indicated that the man sustained a gunshot wound, which proved fatal.
Investigations revealed that a colleague, also of Egyptian nationality, unintentionally discharged a firearm while the two were cleaning it. The weapon was identified as a pump-action shotgun.
Eyewitnesses at the scene corroborated the account, according to the spokesperson. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
