AMMAN - Jordan's Energy Minister Saleh Al-Kharabsheh reassured the public that the Kingdom maintains ample reserves of petroleum derivatives and domestic gas, emphasizing the nation's energy infrastructure is operating at full capacity.

Al-Kharabsheh stated that the national energy system is functioning according to established operational and proactive plans, ensuring a continuous supply of natural gas and petroleum products under various circumstances.

The minister affirmed the availability of technical and logistical alternatives to guarantee the uninterrupted provision of natural gas and petroleum derivatives to the Kingdom, even amid regional challenges.

He specifically addressed concerns about domestic gas supplies, confirming that there is no shortage in the local market and that the Kingdom's needs are being fully met, particularly for cooking gas.

Al-Kharabsheh also highlighted the availability of alternative fuels, such as heavy fuel oil and diesel, for use in power generation plants in the event of natural gas disruptions.

The energy sector, according to Al-Kharabsheh, is being managed with high efficiency through consistent daily monitoring and in full coordination with relevant entities within an integrated institutional framework. This framework has demonstrated its ability to effectively navigate regional variables.
