Orange Jordan Showcases Innovations & Creations of its Digital Community Programs at MENA ICT Forum 2024
Orange Jordan enabled the entrepreneurs and participants in its community programs, implemented under the umbrella of Orange Digital Centers (ODC), to showcase their innovations and projects at the 10th edition of the MENA ICT Forum, organized by The Information and Communications Technology Association of Jordan (INT@J).
His Excellency, the Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, Eng. Sami Smeirat was briefed about Orange’s innovations and projects, implemented under the umbrella of Orange Digital Centers, during his visit to the company’s booth.
Orange engaged with the forum’s attendees being the public or the industry leaders, by showcasing its innovations. They included the "MARS-JO Rover" device that has been built and manufactured in the Fabrication Lab in Irbid for educational purposes to simulate the exploration and study of space and the Martian environment.
The company also showcased its ongoing commitment to supporting entrepreneurs on their long-term journey to success. As part of these efforts, startups from the BIG by Orange program and the Orange AI Incubator participated in Startup Village Arabia, where they engaged with the public, exchanged knowledge with experts, attracted investments, and presented their innovative products and services.
The MENA ICT Forum represented an opportunity to introduce attendees to the latest technological trends that are reshaping all sectors. Aligning with this, Orange introduced its virtual hospital project, which was designed at the Innovation Hub in Amman. The project employs augmented reality technology in healthcare services, showcasing technology’s contribution to setting new standards for the healthcare industry through customized services that save time and effort for both doctors and patients and thus reflect on the overall patient experience.
Projects of Orange Summer Challenge 2024 also had the opportunity to showcase their innovations at the forum. These included the ARFL, which provides solutions for filling street potholes and will represent Jordan in the Middle East and Africa version, the SAVERBOT, which specializes in assisting rescue teams to find survivors during disasters and crises, and the Deep-Sea Explorer, which offers innovative solutions to explore and photograph aquatic worlds using modern technologies, based on advanced water drone robots.
It is worth mentioning that Orange Jordan sponsored the two-day MENA ICT Forum 2024 as the telecom partner. The event, held at the Dead Sea and welcomed more than 3,000 visitors from the region and the world, was themed "Synergy in Innovation: Navigating the Future of ICT in MENA”.
