The number of Jordanian companies operating from the Qatar
Finance Center platform was about 115 as of the end of the first half of this
year, compared to about 100 at the end of the 2022 year.
According to the website of the Qatar Finance Centre, one of
the region's largest financial and business centers, the activity of Jordanian
companies in Qatar Finance Centre covers many areas of diversified economic
sectors, most of which focus on digitization and financial technology, banking
and banking, money management, savings and investment, information technology,
hospitality and public services, trade, import and export, and small
industries.
Jordan's registered companies are characterized by a strong
presence and continued growth, while Jordan ranks first Arab after Qatar in the
number of companies operating under the umbrella of the Centre.
The amount of assets managed by QFC currently exceeds SAR
110 billion ($30.2 billion). Today, the Center's platform has more than 1800
local and international companies operating in many financial and commercial
sectors, with more than 10 thousand employees and workers.
These companies' activities are concentrated in various
sectors, including health and education, money investment, media, sport,
retail, logistics, digital services and finance, real estate and energy.
Jordanian and other QFC companies benefit from a wide range
of privileges and incentives such as 100% foreign ownership, one online
platform to complete licensing procedures, commercial registration, visas and
passports, a competitive corporate tax rate of 10% on locally sourced profits,
and a competing tax environment subject to double taxation agreements.
It also provides the possibility of transferring profits
entirely abroad without tax, a transparent and accessible operating
environment, as well as a special center for the settlement of administrative
disputes accredited by the International Labor Organization, the possibility of
trading in any currency, and the facilitation of visa and employment
procedures.
