Qatar ranks second in the world after America in liquefied gas exports

Qatar ranked second
globally in the list of largest exporters of liquefied natural gas (LNG) last
month, according to the latest data released on Monday by the Doha-based Gas
Exporting Countries Forum.
The data stated that
the United States of America came in first place, while Australia ranked third
globally, then Malaysia ranked fourth, Russia ranked fifth, then Indonesia,
Nigeria, Oman and Papua Guinea respectively.
Global LNG exports
rose 5.4 % year-on-year to 1.71 million ton to 33.6 million ton last month.
Global cumulative LNG
exports expanded by 4.2 % and by 9.6 million ton year-on-year to more than 238
million ton during the first seven months of 2023, while LNG exports to the GCC
countries fell by 0.7 % and by 110,000 ton year-on-year to 16 million ton last
month.
The GEC Forum
predicted global LNG exports, including LNG reloading, to grow by 4-4.5 percent
and 16-18 million ton year-on-year to 416 million ton in 2023, assuming LNG
reloads stabilize at the same levels in 2022.
Global LNG exports
will grow by 4.5-5 % and 18-20 million ton year-on-year to 435 million ton,
assuming LNG reloaders will stabilize at the same levels as in 2023.
