America records unprecedented levels of marijuana and hallucinogen abuse

 A new study has revealed unprecedented levels of marijuana, hallucinogen and liquor addiction in the United States among adults between the ages of 35 and 50. In the annual study on drug abuse behavior, funded by the National Institute of Drug Abuse (NIDA), last year 2022, adults divided into two age groups, were found to have reached historically high levels of drug abuse.

According to the study, adults aged 35 to 50 reported record high levels of marijuana use of 28%.

Nearly half of adults aged 19 to 30 reported marijuanas use last year, at 44%, which is also the highest level ever reported.

The use of hallucinogens among adults aged 35 to 50 has also reached historically high levels, with 4% reporting last year's use of 2022, up from 2% in 2021.

Among adults between the ages of 19 and 30, 8% reported using hallucinogens last year.

Overall alcohol use trends have increased gradually for adults aged 35 to 50, but binge drinking has reached reported highs of 29% in 2022.

According to the report, alcohol use trends for adults aged 19 to 30 are generally declining, but last year alcohol was reported to be 84% higher than the previous five years, at 82% in 2017.
