Alanbat - Sarah Omat
The Ministry of
Health has provided a set of guidelines for citizens to prevent heat stress and
heat stroke as a result of the heat wave that the country is affected by these
days.
The Ministry published on its website the symptoms of heat
stroke and the procedures that are recommended to be followed in the event of
heat stroke.
The Ministry recalled the precautions to be taken in such
weather, such as avoiding direct sunlight and not leaving the most vulnerable
groups from home, such as people suffering from chronic diseases, especially
cardiovascular diseases and high blood pressure, in addition to the elderly and
children due to their poor ability to cope with high temperatures.
The Ministry stressed the need for parents not to allow
their children to play outside the home, not to leave them inside the vehicle
in these hot climates, and to avoid practicing physical activities that require
great effort.
The Ministry advised wearing light cotton clothes and
drinking plenty of water at frequent intervals in order to maintain hydration
and prevent dehydration that may occur as a result of hot weather.
