Jordan Post Company signed on Monday a cooperation agreement
with the Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO) in the field of electronic
postal payment services.
The signing of the agreement came on the sidelines of the
meetings of the Jordanian-Egyptian Joint Higher Committee, with the aim of
activating the postal money transfer service through post offices spread
throughout the Kingdom, according to a statement by the company, on Tuesday.
The agreement provides for the provision of electronic
postal money transfer service between Egypt Post and Jordan Post through the
global system of the Postal Union, as the two parties who are designated
investors, are members of the Universal Postal Union, to ensure the provision
of distinguished financial services to all Egyptians in the Kingdom at
competitive prices, as this service will enable them to send their remittances
to their families in Egypt easily through the Jordanian post offices, and then
their families in Egypt receive these remittances instantly through the
Egyptian National Post Organization offices which spreads throughout the Arab
Republic of Egypt.
