Sudan extends airspace closure

The Sudanese Civil Aviation Authority decided to extend the closure of airspace to various airline until August 15, with exception of "Humanitarian and evacuation flights” after obtaining permission from the competent authorities, according to a statement issued late Sunday by the Sudanese news agency SUNA.

Sudanese airspace was closed to air traffic after a military conflict broke out between the country’s military and paramilitary rapid support forces in mid-April.
