The head of the Turkish Elections Authority, Ahmed Yanar, announced the
non-final results of the presidential elections, noting that President Recep
Tayyip Erdogan won 49.51% of the vote and (Kılıçdaroğlu) won 44.88%.
In a press conference on Monday evening, Yanar confirmed that no
candidate in Turkish presidential elections had obtained enough votes to win,
and accordingly it was decided to hold a second round between Erdogan and Oglu
on May 28, noting that candidates could begin campaigning for the second round
according to the current results.
