The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs
condemned the Zionist escalation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, most
recently the Zionist aggression, on Tuesday dawn against the Gaza Strip and the
incursion into the city of Nablus.
The Ministry's official spokesman, Ambassador Sinan Majali,
stressed the need for the international community to act immediately and
effectively to halt this aggression and to provide protection to the
Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in all occupied Palestinian
territories.
Majali stressed that continued aggression and violations of
the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and Zionist incursions into
occupied Palestinian cities threaten wider spirals of violence that will pay
for them.
The Ministry's spokesman said Jordan was continuing its
contacts and moves to immediately halt this dangerous escalation, restore calm
and prevent the outbreak of violence.
