On Monday morning, the number of victims of clashes between
the army and the Sudan Rapid Support Forces rose to 97, according to the Sudan
Doctors' Union.
According to the Sudan News Agency "Suna", the
union said in a statement that "at least 97 people have been killed since
the outbreak of clashes in the country on Saturday", stating that 365
people were also injured, but the toll does not cover all those killed as many
of them were not hospitalized due to difficulty moving.
Fighting continues in the Sudanese capital on Monday morning
for the third consecutive day between the army and the Armed Rapid Support
Forces, with gunfire and explosions heard.
The tension between army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and
RSF leader Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, known as "Hemeti", turned into
violent confrontations on Saturday, following an escalation in political
differences in recent weeks.
