Kevin McCarthy, the US House Speaker, considered the
decision to indict Donald Trump has done "irreparable damage” to the country,
while allies of the former president are launching a violent attack on
Democrats and judicial officials, according to Washington Daily News.
McCarthy said that Attorney General " Democrat Alvin Prague
" in Manhattan had irreparably harmed our country, trying to interfere in our
upcoming 2024 US presidential election.
He added that "the American people will not tolerate injustice
and the House of Representatives will hold Alvin Prague accountable and his
unprecedented abuse of power "by making this accusation.
Ron DeSantis, Donald Trump’s leading contender for the
Republican nomination in the 2024 US presidential election, said that the
indictment of the former president Trump was " contrary to American values”
according to Washington Daily News.
Florida Governor DeSantis, where Trump's residence is, added
that "he would not assist in requesting extradition given the questionable
circumstances” of the indictment, which he described as a part of a” political
agenda”.
