Change the procedures for renewal of annual residence permits for Arab and foreign university students

The Ministry of Interior announced changes to the annual residence permits granted to Arab and foreign university students studying in the Kingdom's universities. 

 According to a statement issued by the ministry, today, Monday, the Minister of Interior, Mazen Al-Faraya, decided to authorize the director of the Residence and Borders Department and the heads of the branches of annual residence issuance centers in the Public Security Directorate, the authority to renew annual residence permits within the same applicable conditions without reviewing the Ministry of Interior. 

 This decision comes, according to the statement, for the purposes of facilitating students studying in Jordanian public and private universities, in support of the educational sector, and to enable students to devote themselves to study and academic achievement.
