The Kingdom's trade balance deficit with the European Union countries last year reached about 2.58 billion dinars, compared to 2.54 billion dinars in 2021.

According to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics, the value of national exports to EU countries during the past year increased by 139 percent, reaching about 428 million dinars, compared to 179 million dinars in 2021.

The value of imports from European Union countries also increased over the past year, by 10.8 percent, to reach 3.011 billion dinars, compared to 2.718 billion dinars in 2021.

According to the data, the Netherlands topped the list of European countries in terms of Jordanian exports to the countries of the Union last year, reaching about 123 million dinars, while Romania topped the list of countries from which Jordan imports, where the Kingdom's imports from Romania amounted to about 611 million dinars.
