Washington renews its support for Baghdad in the fields of economy and combating terrorism

The United States on Tuesday affirmed its support for the Iraqi government in the fields of combating terrorism and the economy.

The US ambassador in Baghdad, Alina Romanowski, said during the meeting with Iraqi National Security Adviser Qassem Al-Araji that her country supports Iraq in the fields of combating terrorism, strengthening the Iraqi economy and exchanging experiences and information.

She added that the support includes the Sudanese government's promising program of financial, political, economic and counter-terrorism reforms.

For his part, Al-Araji said that he discussed with Romanowski the file of the strategic framework agreement, as well as ways to continue cooperation and coordination in the face of terrorism.
