99 million dinars exported Amman trade last month

The value of certificates of origin issued by the Amman Chamber of Commerce for the export of goods and commodities to Arab and foreign countries last month amounted to 99 million dinars, compared to about 50 million dinars for the same period last year 2022.

According to the Chamber's statistical data, on Monday, the number of certificates of origin issued by the Chamber last month was 2,352, compared to 1,678 for the same period in 2022.

The certificates of origin issued by the Chamber last month went to many countries, most notably Saudi Arabia with 550 certificates, then the UAE 273, Iraq 195, Egypt 81, and Switzerland with two certificates of origin.

Exports were distributed in value to Iraq with a value of about 43.6 million dinars, Switzerland 14.7 million dinars, Saudi Arabia about 7.7 million dinars, the UAE 6.9 million dinars, and then Egypt with a value of 5.6 million dinars.

According to statistical data, exports of foreign (re-exports) products amounted to 53 million dinars, Arab products worth 11 million dinars, agricultural 9 million dinars, industrial 7.8 million dinars and the rest for many other products.

The Chamber issues certificates of origin for Jordanian agricultural and animal products and raw natural resources, for foreign goods being re-exported and for foreign goods purchased from the local market under specific conditions. 

Certificates of origin for Jordanian industrial products are also issued according to the request of the exporter; based on the original factory invoice certified by an industrial chamber and an original and duly certified certificate of origin issued by an industrial chamber proving that the goods are of Jordanian origin.
