He explained that the National Center for Agricultural Research launched the "Incubator for Innovation and Agricultural Entrepreneurship" initiative in 2019, and it was a result of the center's important role in spreading agricultural science and knowledge, which aims to transform entrepreneurial ideas into real projects that enhance the national economy and contribute to sustainable development and job creation. Outstanding success.

The new initiative (the incubator for innovation and agricultural entrepreneurship) came in implementation of the aspirations and visions of His Majesty King Abdullah II, which were mentioned in many of his lofty speeches, royal messages and discussion papers on innovation, creativity and excellence.

Hattar indicated that the incubator seeks to achieve its mission of qualifying entrepreneurs and innovators, maturing their ideas, nurturing them, and qualifying them to be able to compete in the market, so that they can transform from the category of job seekers to the category of owners of small and medium enterprises, with an emphasis on the values ​​of participation, transparency and social responsibility, including Contributes to achieving the Centre's vision, mission, values ​​and goals.

He added that one of the justifications for the incubator for innovation and agricultural entrepreneurship is that there is no incubator for agricultural innovation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the need to spread the culture of innovative leadership and innovation in the agricultural sector, to help owners of entrepreneurial ideas to crystallize their ideas so that they can present them in a comprehensive manner, in addition to the need of creators for methods and protection rights Intellectual property is a protection for their entrepreneurial ideas, helping young people to create new job opportunities in the agricultural sector, employing the results of scientific research, innovations and innovations in the form of projects capable of transforming into production, and transforming entrepreneurial ideas into real projects that enhance the national economy and contribute to sustainable development.

He said that the agricultural innovation incubator plays a prominent role in the development of the economic fabric through the advantages it achieves represented in encouraging, creating and developing small and medium enterprises, as the role played by the agricultural innovation incubator can be summarized in supporting and developing small and medium enterprises, and the development of the local community. In addition to supporting economic development by enabling the agricultural sector to achieve high rates of establishing new economic activities, in addition to achieving high growth rates for joint projects in the incubator, by working to facilitate the establishment of new productive or service projects, which are considered one of the most important pillars of economic development, as These companies pay taxes and fees, and activate production, export and import operations, all of which generate financial resources for state budgets.

He added that the incubator focuses on supporting industrial and technological development, nurturing and developing innovative ideas and applied research, and working to transfer them from the research and development stage to the implementation stage, through the establishment of small innovative agricultural projects, which are considered one of the most important mechanisms of agricultural technological development in terms of its superior ability to develop and modernize. Production processes are faster and at a lower cost, and the establishment of this specialized incubator facilitates the transfer and localization of modern and advanced technology.
