The Central Bank denies going to launch a 100-dinar cash currency

The Executive Director of the Department of Monetary Issuance of the Central Bank of Jordan "CBJ” Reem Al-Fayez said that the most important feature of the new 50 dinar  denomination is the coarse texture and prominence of the word (the Central Bank of Jordan top the paper and the 50 Dinar word in its middle as well as the 50 texture in the top right of the banknote).

Al-Fayez added, through Alamen Ether, that the ways of distinguishing counterfeit and real currency are made by shining the coin on a light source, where His Majesty's image appears on the 50 category, which is identical to the image adorning the paper and water writings (fifty digits).

She pointed out that the appearance of the number "fifty", as well as the image of the crown while shining on the light and when tilted, as well as a three-dimensional heptathlon star. 

Al-Fayez  said the central bank does not intend to introduce the 100 dinar category.
