The Director of Agriculture of the Ramtha Brigade, Engineer Ahed Obeidat, estimated the production of the brigade's lands of vegetables and potatoes at 25% of the total general production of the Kingdom, which contributes to supporting national food security.

Obeidat said in a statement to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that the land cultivated in the potato crop is 23,000 dunams, producing about 115 tons, pointing out that there are 16,000 plastic houses for protected agriculture, which produce various vegetables.

He pointed out that the brigade produces 70,000 tons of various vegetables, pointing out that olive trees extend over an area of 40,000 dunums that produce 5,000 tons of olive oil, and a thousand tons of olive pickles.

Obeidat indicated that 23,000 dunams are grown with field crops, which produce 4,000 tons, mostly wheat and barley, pointing out that the production of the Ramtha Brigade from the islands contributed to the Kingdom's sufficiency of this substance.
