A 5.2 magnitude earthquake shook Turkey's central region on Saturday, the European Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) said.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km, "EMSC” added

There were no reports of damage caused by the earthquake

Earlier, Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management announced that the death toll from the devastating earthquake had risen to 40,642 so far.

Rescue teams in Turkey are racing against time to find survivors as they rescued three people, including a child, alive from the rubble of a collapsed apartment building, 296 hours after the earthquakes that hit the country in the sixth of this month, according to the Turkish radio and television station TRT.
