Exports of 2.5 billion dinars to the Arab Trade Zone

 Up until the end of November 2022, the value of national exports to the countries of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area climbed by 22.6%, or 2.5 billion dinars, as compared to the same period in 2021, when it was 2 billion dinars. The value of the Kingdom's imports from the nations in the Greater Arab Free Trade Area climbed in 11 months of last year by 38.1% to 5.4 billion dinars, compared to 3.9 billion dinars for the same period in 2021, according to foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics. 

Statistics show that the Kingdom's trade balance deficit with the nations of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area increased in the first 11 months of 2018 to around 2.9 billion dinars, up from 1.9 billion dinars during the same period in 2021. 

In the first 11 months of last year, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped Jordan's export ladder to the nations of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area, reaching approximately JD 768 million. Iraq came in second with JD 565 million, followed by Palestine with JD 182 million, and the Arab Emirates with JD 165 million. 

Saudi Arabia topped the list of nations from which Jordan buys, with imports from Saudi Arabia totaling around 2.7 billion dinars. The Arab Emirates came in second with imports totaling about 1.5 billion dinars.
 
Among Jordan's most significant exports to the nations of the Greater Arab Free Trade Area are fertilizer, pharmaceuticals, fresh and chilled fruits and vegetables, salts and skin care products, paints, food preparations, chocolate, furniture and fabrics, as well as textiles and pesticides.
 
Crude oil and its derivatives, jewelry, ornaments, dates, wheat, fish, plates and sheets of plastic, polyethylene and titanium oxide, polystyrene, iron and its products, furniture, fruit trees, cheeses, honey, and cereals are the Kingdom's top imports from the countries that make up the Greater Arab Free Trade Area.
