According to the Jordan Valley Authority and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, there are 489 water harvesting projects with a combined storage capacity of 127 million cubic meters till the end of 2022.

With a total of 342 excavations, 29 million and 700 thousand cubic meters of storage, 74 sites for dams (desert, transformational, barriers, or jabion walls), 97 million cubic meters of storage, and 73 sites for concrete ponds, water harvesting projects were awarded to Earth's excavators.

The Jordan Valley Authority's strategic plan calls for expanding water harvesting projects in order to strengthen existing water sources and discover new ones. To that end, the projects were carried out in collaboration with the ministries of agriculture and the environment as well as some public and private institutions.

The Jordan Valley Authority's Water Harvest Directorate has worked to remove sediment from some desert dam sites and to continuously maintain and renovate water harvest sites throughout the year in various governorates. This has been done in collaboration with local and international businesses and organizations, including FAO, Mercy Corp., the Islamic Network for the Development and Management of Water Resources, and private sector businesses.
