World Health Organization calls for concerted efforts to eliminate coronavirus

The World Health Organization called,on Tuesday,for concerted efforts to eliminate the coronavirus pandemic.

WHO Regional Director for Europe Dr. Hans Henri Kluge confirmed during a press conference, on Tuesday, that coronavirus variants spread in China have already been seen in Europe and elsewhere,noting that China's continued increase is not expected to significantly affect the epidemiological situation of COVID-19 in the European region.

He called for urgent reinvestment in enhanced genetic and viral surveillance and recommitment.
