The Minister of National Security in the Israeli occupation government, Itamar Ben-Gvir, decided to reduce visits by members of the Israeli Knesset to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.

And the newspaper "Israel Hayom", in its issue issued ,on Sunday, stated that Ben Gvir sent an official letter to the Speaker of the Knesset, Amir Ohana, informing him that he had canceled the previous procedure, as well as revealing to him the new procedure that reduces the possibility of visits by Knesset members to prisoners.

According to the plan prepared by the previous Israeli government, each of the 120 Knesset members is entitled to an individual visit to a security prisoner, provided that a request is submitted to the office of the Israeli Minister of Internal Security and approval is obtained, as the plan that was developed entered into a trial period of one year in  last August.

According to the plan drafted by Ben Gvir, only one Knesset member from each party will be able to visit security prisoners in prison, and on the other hand, the plan allows all Knesset members to visit prisons and meet with criminal prisoners.
