The Ministry of Public Works dealt with 89 complaints during the recent weather conditions

During the past weather conditions, coinciding with the announcement of work within the medium emergency plan, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing dealt with 89 communications.

The ministry said in a press statement issued by the Information and Communication Unit on Tuesday, that the incoming observations and reports were dealt with immediately and in accordance with the rules, through its cadres working in the field and equipped with the necessary equipment and mechanisms, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Regarding the most prominent observations that were dealt with, it indicated that a rise in the water level was dealt with on the road to Al-Hussein Bin Talal University towards the villages of Al-Neimat (Maan), the Wadi Araba-Dlaghah road (Aqaba), and the Wadi Araba-Khushiba road as a result of heavy rainfall, which led The torrential rains caused its temporary and precautionary closure, and traffic diversions were made in coordination with the partners in the Public Security Directorate, and it was reopened after the necessary action was taken in a timely manner.

According to the ministry, a gathering of dust and stones was also dealt with on the Tafila-Karak road, the Wadi Shuaib road, the Dead Sea road, the Al-Baqaa road in the Petra district, the royal road (Taybeh-Wadi Musa), and the Al-Aina-Tafila road (Karak), where it was closed as a precaution and temporarily to forget. The mechanisms work to remove obstacles, and they were reopened after removing all obstacles in a timely manner.

And it pointed out that 3 families trapped by torrential rains and living in tents in the Al-Bayda area of the Petra region were rescued by means of its mechanisms, in addition to securing the arrival of many stranded citizens to their destinations due to the past weather conditions, indicating that the necessary support and assistance was provided to the partners working in the field. to handle many communications.

and indicated that it had begun work to limit the damage resulting from the last low air, and many sites were treated. During the coming period, the observations will be dealt with as the necessary measure for other sites through engineering solutions to ensure that the observations are not repeated.
