Meteorology: Forecasts about the amounts of rain are good, which is the most since the beginning of the season

The Director of the Meteorological Department, Raed Al-Khattab, expected that the amounts of rain during the depression that the Kingdom is witnessing today would be good, and that it would include all regions, so that it would replenish the reserves, especially since this depression will bring the most quantities since the beginning of the season.

He confirmed to the Jordan News Agency (Petra) today, Monday, that the meteorologists issued warnings for most of the governorates (the north, center and south), and the warning level was raised, noting that the southern governorates will witness heavy rainfall, especially on Monday afternoon, with a greater rate compared to the rest of the governorates.

And about the temperatures that the Kingdom will witness today, Al-Khattab said: The temperatures will be low and slightly below average, as he warned that with the end of the situation on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the extent of visibility is low and sometimes lack thereof as a result of the fog.

Al-Khattab expected frost to form on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday as a result of the surface temperatures dropping below zero over the mountains and desert areas.

He pointed out that the atmosphere will generally stabilize in the Kingdom in the afternoon of tomorrow, Tuesday, and the opportunity for rain showers will remain available until afternoon in the south and east of the Kingdom, while the weather will stabilize in the north and center of the Kingdom on Tuesday morning.

For its part, the official authorities throughout the Kingdom declared, yesterday evening, a state of emergency in all regions, including medium and extreme ones, coinciding with the weather, stressing the need to move away from low places that may witness the formation of torrents.
