Saudi Arabia: merchandise exports increased by 14.2%

The value of merchandise exports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by 14.2 percent, reaching 121 billion riyals during the month of October, compared to 106 billion riyals during the same month of 2021, an increase of 15 billion riyals.

International trade data for October issued by the General Authority for Statistics in Saudi Arabia on Thursday indicated that the value of petroleum exports amounted to 96 billion riyals during the aforementioned month, compared to 82 billion riyals during October 2021, an increase of 14 billion riyals, or 17.1 percent.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the value of non-oil exports in October of this year amounted to 25 billion riyals, compared to 24 billion riyals during the same month last year, an increase of one billion riyals, or 4.4 percent.

The value of the Kingdom's merchandise imports during the same period amounted to 67 billion riyals, compared to 46 billion riyals during the month of October 2021, an increase of 21 billion riyals, or 45.7 percent.
