Russia announced about its rejection of attempts by EU to
set the ceiling on natural gas prices on Tuesday, stressing that will not sell
the gas to the countries that determine the price of its purchase.
"These steps are a violation of market standards, Russia
will respond properly as it did with the price cap of Russian oil, as it will
not sell it to the countries that determine the price of its purchase,"
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskove said during a press conference.
