A member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Travel and Tourism Agents, Mahmoud Al-Khasawneh, said that the percentage of reservations for the New Year’s holidays and Christmas from the 22nd of this month until the 10th of January exceeded expectations, reaching 150% compared to the same period last year and 85% of the same period compared to 2019, which indicates the tourism recovery of the Kingdom and the increase in tourism demand in various seasons for the next year at high rates exceeding 200% compared to the same period last year, especially from American and European nationalities.

Al-Khasawneh confirmed in his interview with "Al-Anbat" that the tourist season is promising and that the rates of reservations amounted to 100% for the months of March, April, and May of next year, so that the rates of tourism to which the Kingdom is accustomed will return during the second half of next year.

As for the tourist golden triangle, it explained that this region (Aqaba, Petra, and Wadi Rum) is the basis for the tourism process in Jordan, which is promoted in all countries of the world, especially during the period of glorious festive periods, in addition to the northern regions of Jerash and Ajloun and the central regions represented by Salt, which was classified on the UNESCO World Heritage List, especially the Dead Sea, as the lowest spot in the world.

Regarding the Islamic religion tourism, Al-Khasawneh confirmed that the tourist sites in Jordan (Al-Maghtas, Mount Nebo, Madaba, and Mukawer) had more than 85% reservations, which did not exceed 55% before, especially after the Islamic religion tourism became shared with neighboring countries, Egypt, and the occupied Palestinian territories.

Al-Khasawneh mentioned that the "Christian Pilgrimage Trail" project, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, the Department of Antiquities, and the Madaba Tourism Directorate, extends from Madaba to Nebo, passing through Wadi Mujib, and down to Al-Maghtas, which requires 18 to 24 months to be delivered, stressing that upon the completion of the infrastructure and logistical process, it will be completed. promoting the project and introducing it to tourism programs so that it becomes an essential component of religious tourism.

It is noteworthy that the Kingdom will witness three concerts on the last day of this year for Ragheb Alama, Saif Nabeel, and Hussein Al-Salman.
