Al-Kabariti warns: stopping transportation will lead to overcrowding of containers
Al-Anbat - Mohammad Allahham
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Aqaba Chamber
of Commerce, Nael Al-Kabariti, said that the difficult economic conditions that
the Kingdom is going through as a result of the repercussions of the Corona
pandemic and the global political conditions require everyone to work together
to give priority to the national interest and provide all facilities that
ensure the continuation of the wheel of economic activity.
He added, in a press release, on Tuesday, that the transport
and logistics sector is an important and essential pillar for the turnover of
economic sectors.
He called on all relevant parties to work on resolving the
issue of stopping transport operations as soon as possible, because stopping
will lead to the accumulation of containers, which will lead to the reluctance
of shipping companies to transport containers and thus affect the flow of goods
to the Kingdom.
He warned that any disruption in the flow of goods to the
local market may have negative repercussions on price levels.
