Customs: thwarting an attempt to smuggle 723 electronic cigarettes and flavors gallons

The media spokesman
for the Jordanian Customs Department stated that the staff working at the
Mudawara Border Customs Center, in cooperation with the security services,
seized 723 electronic cigarettes and four gallons of flavors (juice) with a
capacity of 25 kilograms per gallon, which were hidden among the luggage of
pilgrims with the intention of smuggling.
The media spokesman explained that during the arrival of a
bus carrying a number of pilgrims at the Mudawara customs center, and after the
thorough inspection that the bus was subjected to, these quantities of
cigarettes and flavorings were seized, and the legal and customs procedures
followed in this regard were taken.
For his part, the Director General of the Jordanian Customs
Department, Customs Brigade, Engineer Jalal Al-Qudah, praised the professionalism
of the customs staff working in the field and their seizure of such smuggled
goods and their role in spreading justice in the markets and protecting the
national economy and also protecting citizens from counterfeit and adulterated
goods or those goods that were not subject to inspection to ensure their safety
and conformity with the Jordanian standard specifications.
