The articles of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Jordan and the Sultanate of Oman in protecting competition and preventing monopoly were published in the Official Gazette.

The memorandum aims to enhance and develop cooperation between the two countries in the field of competition protection and monopoly prevention based on the principle of mutual interests.

According to the memorandum, the two parties encourage cooperation and the development of policies and strategies, and the exchange of experiences and best practices of cooperation in areas related to competition protection and monopoly prevention through the implementation of specialized studies and joint research related to competition protection and monopoly prevention, and participation and coordination in organizing conferences, seminars, workshops, training courses and lectures that achieve the goals.  The two countries, and coordination on anti-competitive practices committed within the borders of one of the two countries and harmful to the interests of the other country.

In addition, consultations are exchanged on all issues related to competition protection and monopoly prevention, information and experiences gained by international projects implemented by either party in the field of competition protection and monopoly prevention, and the provision of a legal and institutional framework that limits anti-competitive business practices and ensures an acceptable level of fair competition.  In the market.

It also included the exchange of experiences, with regard to setting up awareness programs and reviewing the best practices applied in the field of competition and preventing monopoly in the market, and benefiting from qualified human cadres, technical and advanced equipment, and practical expertise available and available to each of them.

It also included the exchange of non-confidential information by the two parties with what is available and available to each party of documents, information, studies, research and expertise through modern technological means within the limits permitted by the provisions of the laws in force in both countries.
