The Katara Cultural Village Qatar will be hosting an art exhibition on Tuesday that promotes the beauty of nature in Jordan.

The exhibition, Al-Markhiya Gallery entitled "Massarat", is organized at Katara headquarters in the Qatari capital of Doha, which runs until October 23, with the participation of Jordanian artist Husni Abu Krayem, as well as artists from Iraq and Syria.

On Monday, Al-Markhiya Gallery said on its website that the artists participating in the forthcoming exhibition belonged to various creative schools.

Commenting on his participation in the exhibition, the artist Husni Abu Krayem said that nature is the first inspiration for his work, from which he draws his visual vocabulary as a means of expressing ideas, explaining that in his work he traces the beauty of Jordanian nature, which has not received much attention at the artistic level, where attention is often paid only to areas that entice tourists in Jordan such as Petra and Jerash.

He explained that the landscape is capable of provoking creative imagination, while creating psychological fortitude that prepares the viewer to taste many different artistic practices, regardless of schools and different directions, noting that this diversity helps to expand our sensory system and allows us to experience rich viewing of nature's beauty.

For his part, Syrian artist Abdullah al-Assad said that his choice of watercolors as a major tool of artistic expression is derived from his ongoing challenge to rediscover color.

Every artwork he accomplishes has a story he reformulates to become a bridge he transports to engage in dialogue with audiences using an impressionist style. Spirit is based on a language of color that helps it to highlight certain elements of everyday life, while deliberately concealing others; the end result in his paintings reflects a sense of simplicity in presenting reality as he wants.

According to Iraqi artist Zaid Al-Zaidy, the most realistic vision is capable of bringing humans closer to nature, which he does through watercolors, explaining that when humanity loses contact with the natural world, it faces the solid reality that results in materialism, a sense of belonging is important. "I am therefore keen to include architecture in my work, through an artistic dialogue that evokes and explores heritage, and I evoke domes, minarets and other vocabulary bearing old identity with cultural significance, which produces a positive energy for the viewer to relate to heritage and everything that is authentic."

Al-Zaidy believes that the most beautiful part of artistic creativity is that the artist has the ability to touch the consciousness of the masses by using the familiar as a basis point in the direction of exploring identity.
