Increase in the number of registered companies in Jordan about 24%

The Companies Controller General, Dr. Wael Al-Armouti, confirmed the improvement in the general situation of economic activities registered in the Companies Control Department, which witnessed an increase in the number of registered companies, according to the department's database.

Al-Armouti added, in a statement today, Tuesday, that the period for comparing the results of 2022 with the results of 2019 was chosen, as it gives a clearer picture of the years (2020, 2021).

Also, He said that the statistics for the first half of 2022 witnessed an increase in the number of registered companies by 9 percent from 2019, 55 percent from 2020, and 24 percent from 2021, and the capital of registered companies increased by 30 percent from 2019, and decreased by 58 percent.  For the year 2021, where the Banks Investment Company registered with a capital of 275 million dinars, and the number of companies that were dissolved and written off decreased by 53 percent from 2019 and by 3 percent from 2021. Statistics indicate that the most registered governorates are Omani companies by 89 percent, with capitals of 89 percent.  Funds exceeding 127 million dinars, then Irbid by 4 percent, with capitals exceeding 5.6 million dinars, then Mafraq by 3 percent, with capitals exceeding 4 million dinars.

It was also found that the most registered types of companies were limited liability companies with 64 percent, with capital exceeding 98 million dinars, then solidarity companies by 19 percent, and capital exceeding 12 million dinars, while private joint stock companies by 1%, with capital exceeding 14 million dinars.  Dinar.

Al-Armouti stressed that the most prominent results of the department’s success in digital transformation, as the period of registration of the company does not exceed one day for partnership and simple partnership companies, and does not exceed two days for other types of companies in the event that no prior approval is required to register the company.
