The quantities of vegetables, fruits and leafy vegetables received at
the central wholesale market of the Greater Amman Municipality amounted to 3404
tons on Saturday, including 968 tons of vegetables, 968 tons of fruits and 182
tons of leaves.
According to the monitoring of the Jordan News
Agency (Petra) for the Central Market Bulletin and the list of prices of the
items that came to the market according to the lowest and highest price per
kilo, the prices of the most prominent items were as follows: Ajami black
eggplants range in price from 7 to 15 piasters, and dry onions between 15 to 35
piasters, and potatoes between 20 to 50
piasters, tomatoes between 8 to 19 piasters, carrots between 20 to 30 piasters,
cucumbers between 20 to 40 piasters, a flower between 25 to 50 piasters,
zucchini between 20 to 40 piasters, lemons between 60 to 80 piasters, and
watermelon between 15 to 25 piasters.
