Resumption of Palestinian commercial shipping via King Hussein Bridge in early August

The European Union announced that there is a consensus to start shipping large commercial containers with a capacity of 40 feet on the first of next August through the King Hussein Bridge crossing.

This step was taken as an initiative under the supervision of the European Union and the Palestinian and Israeli authorities, and it also comes as a new way to help increase Palestinian trade and improve the economic conditions of the Palestinians.

According to the European Union website, this initiative follows a previous initiative that allowed shipping containers of 20 feet for a trial period of three months until the first of November 2022.
