Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers on Sunday stormed the
courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque - Al-Haram Al-Sharif in the occupied city of
Jerusalem.
The General Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem said in a
statement that the incursions were carried out from the side of Moroccan Gate
(Bab al-Maghariba) ,while Israeli occupation forces surrounded worshippers in
Al-Qibli Mosque.
The Department of Waqf stated that the occupation forces
surrounded the worshipers and retreats in Al Qibli Mosque, while dozens of worshipers performed salat Al-Duha
collectively, coinciding with the incursions of the settlers, who performed
Talmudic rituals, and carried out suspicious tours in its courtyards.
It added that the occupation forces preempted the settlers'
incursions by closing the doors of Al-Qibli Mosque with iron chains, to secure
the incursions and protect the intruders.
These incursions come in response to calls launched by the
organizations of the alleged temple on the occasion of the "Day of the Descent
of the Torah”.
