Aqaba Development participates in the annual investment forum in Dubai

The Aqaba Development Company, the investment arm of the Aqaba Special
Economic Zone Authority, participated in the Jordanian delegation participating
through the Ministry of Investment in the annual investment forum "AIM
2022", which was held by the UAE Ministry of Economy on the sidelines of
the conclusion of the activities of Expo 2020 Dubai in the period between 29-31
of march.
The company's CEO, Hussein Al-Safadi, told the Jordan News Agency,
Petra, that the company's participation in the forum comes within the company's
marketing policies to introduce the unique investment environment in the Aqaba
region, and to highlight the many and diverse investment opportunities for Arab
and international investors, through participation in the investment seminar
organized by The Ministry of Investment under the title "Invest in
Jordan", which provided an opportunity to shed light on the investment
opportunities available in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone and the existing
success stories.
Al-Safadi added that the company also participated in a number of
important meetings, along with the Jordanian delegation, with the Saudi Fund
for Development and Dubai Investments, in addition to the Department of
Economic Development in Abu Dhabi.
He stressed that the Aqaba Special Economic Zone is unique in possessing
valuable investment opportunities even in light of educational competitiveness,
thanks to the precise organizational and development plans prepared in advance,
in addition to Jordan’s security and economic stability and an attractive
investment environment with a high degree of competitiveness, which enhances
the value of economic feasibility For investment projects in the Aqaba Special
Economic Zone in particular and Jordan in general.
He indicated that the company has achieved a number of achievements in
multiple sectors, culminating recently in the signing of agreements by the
Aqaba Development Company with the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which constituted a
milestone in the field of strategic cooperation between the two brotherly
countries, to develop the Marsa Zayed area, and to establish an advanced
terminal for cruise ships and tourist, recreational and residential facilities,
among others. Projects, an advanced digital system for the port system, the
modernization and development of King Hussein International Airport, and the
development and modernization of a multi-purpose port, which will contribute to
enhancing the attractiveness of the city of Aqaba as a major destination on the
Red Sea, in addition to other strategic investment projects in the process of
finalizing the related procedures and will be announced in the near future.
