Qatar's Minister of State for Energy Affairs and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Electricity and Water Company said, Engineer Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, that the Qatari Nebras Energy Company's investments in Jordan are distinguished.

Al-Kaabi added while presiding over the annual general meeting of the Qatar Electricity and Water Company, which was held on Tuesday, via video communication technology, "Nebras Energy has acquired stakes in distinguished energy projects outside Qatar, the most notably the Oryx project in Jordan, the Zain project in the Netherlands, the solar energy project in Brazil, the Stockyard Hill wind energy project in Australia, and energy projects in Ukraine, Bangladesh and Uzbekistan."

Al-Kaabi explained that the Qatar Electricity and Water Company, through the Ras Laffan Operating Company, which is wholly owned by it, had purchased the 40% stake of Qatar Holding Company in Nebras Power Company, which amounts to 40% , Thus, the entire Nebras Power Company has been acquired.

He stressed that the company has achieved many achievements and tasks entrusted to it, and aspires to achieve more of them internally and externally, by increasing the expansion in diversifying energy production sources in the State of Qatar, and increasing its share in global energy markets.
