Authorities to lift quarantine on Mafraq village Monday

Al-Anbat - Authorities of the Mafraq governorate decided to lift quarantine on the Faa' village as of Monday morning, an official told the Jordan New Agency (Petra).

Mafraq Governor Yasser Adwan on Sunday said the village has been coronavirus-free for 14 days, adding that the samples collected from citizens have come back negative for the third time in a row.

Adwan said that quarantine on other areas in the governorate may be lifted over the next few days, with life returning to normal in all isolated areas by the end of the week provided that no new cases of infection with the virus were recorded.

He pointed out that Mafraq did not record any new cases infected with the COVID-19 for nine days until Sunday afternoon.

He said five areas in the governorate, which are currently under quarantine, will be tested for a third time, including: Khanaseri, Deir Waraq, Ain Bani Hassan, in addition to a building in the al-Hashemi neighborhood and a house in the al-Hussein neighborhood
