Voting under way in Israeli parliamentary elections

Alanbatnews - Israeli voters headed to the polls on Tuesday for the second parliamentary election in five months, to elect the 120-member Knesset.

Voting opened at 7am local time for 6,4 million eligible voters and will close at 10pm local time at 11,163 polling stations, according to the Israeli radio.

The first exit surveys will be released just after polls close, while official results are not expected until Wednesday.

Competing in the elections are 31 lists, most notably the Likud party, the Blue and White party, the Arab Joint List parties, the right-wing coalition and the Israel Our Home party.

The first legislative country-wide elections were held in Israel on 9 April 2019.
