Turkey, Russia, Iran hold 5th summit on Syria

Alanbatnews - The fifth trilateral summit with the participation of Turkish, Russian and Iranian leaders kicked off on Monday in Turkey to discuss the Syrian crisis, especially the situation in Idlib city.

The summit aims at assessing the latest developments in war-weary Syria, northwestern Idlib city in particular, ending the conflict climate, ensuring the necessary conditions for the voluntary return of refugees, and achieving a lasting truce and political solution to the Syrian turmoil, according to the Anadolu Agency.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on Sunday, received Iranian President Hassan Rouhani of Iran and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Turkey's capital Ankara.
