Al-Anbat - Head of the Lower House's Foreign Affairs Committee, Nidal Ta'ani, on Wednesday underlined the deep-rooted ties and strategic partnership with China in various fields.

During a meeting with Chinese Ambassador, Pan Weifang, Ta'ani said Jordan views China as a great country, pointing to His Majesty King Abdullah's visit to China, which was a turning point in terms of enhancing bilateral ties.

Amman and Beijing see eye-to-eye on many issues, namely the Palestinian cause, Ta'ani noted, adding the economic solution that the United States presented recently will not be a substitute to the political settlement.

Ta'ani pointed to Israel's recurrent violations and provocations against Palestinians, noting that these practices aim at fueling crises in the region, which requires the international community to increase its efforts to put an end to them.

On the region's wars, he said the Kingdom's economy is burdened as a result of the increase in the number of refugees, which affected infrastructure and the quality of services provided, calling on China to provide more support and increase investments in Jordan.

For his part, Weifang said China is supporter of Jordan, affirming that the King's visit brought about more cooperation, adding that his country views Jordan as a real strategic partner.

China is looking to attract more investments in all fields to serve the two countries interests, he added, pointing out that there will be new investments in the Tafila governorate and the al-Hasa region, and will provide 500 jobs for women.

On the Palestinian cause, the envoy said his country's position is similar to the Jordanian one, reiterating that the only solution is a political one without the use of force.
