Senate President meets Syria's acting charge d'affaires

 Senate President, Faisal Fayez, said Jordan has an interest in the safety and stability of Syria, as a neighboring country that the Kingdom has ties with.

Receiving Syria's Acting Charge D'Affaires in Amman, Ayman Aloush, Fayez pointed to Jordan's firm and clear stance toward the Syrian crisis, stressing the need to come up with a political solution that would preserve the unity of Syria and its people, and allow refugees to return home.

The Senate President also underscored the importance of boosting bilateral ties, noting that Jordan was the most affected country by the Syrian crisis. 

During the meeting, Aloush lauded the Kingdom's position toward Syria, affirming the need to enhance ties in various fields, and facilitate trade through crossing borders.
