Three Syrian soldiers were killed and seven wounded, early Sunday, after Israeli warplanes attacked military positions in the southern region of Quneitra province, the Syrian state -run news agency SANA reported .
A military source told SANA that "Sunday dawn at 03:22 am, enemy air targets arrived from the occupied Golan Heights, where our air defense confronted immediately and shot down the hostile missiles which targeted our positions southwest Damascus."
Following the initial raid, several more rockets from Israel were fired, at 4:10 am, towards the eastern Quneitra countryside, killing at least three Syrian soldiers and injuring seven other servicemen, the military source added.
"The attach has also caused other material damage," he added.
